Men pull with your right hand at waist level to make your lady side step to her right back into a Sway position – on the halfbeat as the men step to the left into a Sway position, men place your left hand underneath the lady’s left forearm & flick the lady’s left arm up into the air. Men immediately let go with your right hand, but allow it to slide round the lady’s back, as you quickly step underneath the lady’s arm you’ve thrown in the air and quickly walk round in front of her and collect her in a First Move position by taking hold of her right hand with your left by your left shoulder and placing your right hand on the lady’s left hip. Just like a First Move now – twist the ladies out to the side. Back up to the shoulder. To the ladies clockwise. Face. Return. Step back.

Move 4 = Swizzle Slidebreak = Step back with a double handhold. Men step in to the left to begin to swap sides as whilst keeping hold with both hands, you take your left hand down towards the lady’s right hip, while you take your right hand up and out to the right over the lady’s head to start making her turn to her left. Continue to swap sides, men turning to your right to face your lady, lady’s keep turning to their left and as they come round to face men take your right hand out to the right at shoulder level (the lady’s right arm should now be behind her back in a half nelson). Men take a very small step forwards as you pivot a ¼ turn to your left to face your lady, whilst taking your right hand onto the lady’s left shoulder. Men keep hold with both hands, as you push with your right hand on the lady’s shoulder, whilst gently pulling with your left hand to make your lady pivot half a turn clockwise & the man pivots another ¼ turn anti-clockwise – you should end up side by side facing opposite directions, your partner to your right, with the man’s right arm behind the lady’s neck with his right hand still by the lady’s left shoulder. Men raise your left hand to take your lady’s right arm up & over behind your head so you should now both be in a Slidebreak Walkaround position. This move now finishes just like a Slidebreak Walkaround – both keep this position as you both walkaround clockwise for 2 beats. Both let go with your hands as you walkaround for 1 final beat stepping away from each other sliding and catching right to right. Return. Step back.

Much more in-depth move descriptions and videos are available in the Dance Yourself Dizzy Members Area.

Beginner Moves

Move 1 = Sway       Move 2 = Half Windmill       Move 3 = Pushspin

Intermediate Moves

Move 1 = Sway Backpass Beats 1, 2, 3 & 4 as per a normal Sway. Men nudge the ladies out. Men turn to your left one whole turn on the spot – as you are doing this change hands behind your back. Step back to face man’s left to lady’s right. Return. Step back.

Move 2 = Manspin Back Catch

Move 3 = Hatchback Elbow Spin = Both step back right to right, men signalling with your left hand behind your back. Both step in so that your partner is on your right hand side, men take your right hand to your left shoulder, ladies take hold of the man’s offered hand behind his back with your left hand. Men keep hold with both hands as you step behind your partner with your right foot and extend your right arm out to the right at shoulder level, ladies turn half a turn to your right. Men raise your right hand and take a side step to your right underneath – your lady should now be on your left and slightly behind you. Men take a step back under your arm and lower your right hand to waist level in front of you, as you let go with your left hand and then take hold of the lady’s right arm with your left hand (palm facing up, at her elbow). Men let go with your right hand as you pull back with your left hand at waist level to make your lady turn to her right to face – as the lady turns, the man’s left hand slips round the lady’s elbow so it is now over the outside of the lady’s elbow rather than underneath). Men throw your left hand across to the right at waist level – letting go, to spin your lady anti-clockwise. Step back to face catching right to right.

Move 4 = Shoulder Slide Combo = Step back right to right. As you both step in, men, pull your partner across in front of you placing your right hand on to her right shoulder. Men, let go with your right hand, as you continue to swap sides, catching hold of the ladies left hand so that you are now man’s right to ladies left. Men pull and raise your right hand across in front of you to make your lady turn ½ turn clockwise as you both swap sides (like the mirror image of a travelling return). Men take your left hand over the lady’s left arm and do a clockwise Manspin on the spot (letting go with your right hand as you turn). As the man comes round to face, catch man’s left to lady’s right. Men raise your left arm and perform a Step Across – both swapping sides. Men lower your left hand to face. Return. Step back.
